Educational Activities Expand to Kosti and Chad
As part of efforts to enhance continuous medical education and develop healthcare professionals’ skills, Al-Naw Teaching Hospital in Omdurman organized a training workshop titled “Basic and Advanced Airway Management”. The workshop was attended by 56 trainees, including intensive care, anesthesia, and emergency physicians, as well as allied health professionals. The program featured theoretical lectures and hands-on training using simulators to practice critical airway management skills.
Despite the power outage affecting the city due to attacks on electricity generation stations, the training program continued thanks to the dedication of the organizing team, underscoring the importance of continuous medical education in challenging times.
In a related development, the city of Kosti hosted its first training workshop for physicians, titled “Blood Gas Analysis”, as part of a plan to expand educational activities to various regions. Additionally, preparations are underway to launch remote lectures and telemedicine services to support physicians working in refugee camps in Adré, Chad.
